PPC is the fastest traffic out there, I think, if you don't have a list/Twitter account established... And it's awesome to test out ideas. I like articles for long-term traffic, because they're both awesome to add to your site for content (higher search engine rankings - I never get penalized for having duplicate content), but they give you the articles for the directories...
