Thank you SO MUCH for all your positive feedback on Facebook + on my blog.
I am going to respond to it all very soon… since I’m running out the door now to go meet a friend for dinner, I thought I’d make a quick video update first:
Even in making this video I learned a lesson. Last night I took a zillion takes of it, then just
forced
myself to put it out there. Today I realized that royalty wouldn’t do that , so I took one more video, feel a LOT better about it, and put it out there.
I’m obviously going to get a lot out of this exercise
And to clarify – the goal is to get from a size 8 to a size 6 by May 22. And if you guys could help hold me accountable, I would be ever appreciative!!!
So far I’ve learned a bit from the face reading workshop.
This is a 3,000-year old science that has been REALLY cool to learn.
And it’s amazing that even though it may seem “out there”, we subconsciously use this ALL THE TIME. For example:
There have been studies where people were given 7 seconds to look at political candidates’ faces from po’dunk towns. They had to guess which person won the election, and they did it with 70% accuracy. That’s because we’re subconsciously looking for certain things (strong jaw = unwavering integrity, wider faces = more of them to look at so they come across as more “trustable”).
Fuller lips signifiy fertility, and it’s one of the things men LOVE in women…
Bigger eyes are also something that people gravitate to – and big eyes signify emotional availability…
This stuff is REALLY good to use in every day life too. You can use it to know which supermarket line to go down on, how to communicate with people, how to make a strong first impression, and so forth.
Someone asked me what my GOAL for this workshop is. I don’t really have one… I just like learning all the different psychological and communication meta systems I possibly can. And it’s fascinating how much this stuff works.
There’s a guy here who was the #1 financial banker in the world a few years ago, before he left banking. He’s only coming to ONE day of the workshop out of curiousity and never read Jean’s book before. But when we were talking about how each area of the face talks about a different age, he was surprised. He said when he was 3 years old he got a huge scar on the area of the face that signifies age 27. At age 27, he got in a near-death car accident.
Many people had interesting stories like that.
Of course, one disclaimer – each area of the face can mean 3 things – the time in one’s life (each area of the face signifies a different age), the personality features, and physical issues (that’s why acupuncturists who take this course get accreditation).
So – here’s just some of what I learned yesterday. I am LOVING this!!!
Just made a video to explain where I’m going this weekend and why I’m so excited!
And after you finish watching… I just want to be clear that there are MANY meta systems, and I don’t think any is “one size fits all”. The more meta systems you know, the more you can understand people, I think… so this is just another tool to add to my arsenal.
Today’s post is a 2-parter. Someone asked me 2 questions in one, and I didn’t think the first question was sufficient for its own blog post.
The first question:
Would you care to blog about how you ended up getting into Internet Marketing? I understand you were in a standard type of job previously, how did you come to find Internet Marketing?
I made a quick video (below) explaining how I jumped into internet marketing and started immediately earning $500 – $800/day:
The second question:
How did you and Dennis come to be partners? How did you find it initially when partnering with someone? How do you work together and who brings what particular skills to the company? And I would be even curious as to what Enneagram personality types and Myers Brigg’s type you both are and if that’s been a factor? (assuming you have thought about it?)
I explained how Dennis and I got started in the video below, the differences in our personalities, as well as our Myers Briggs and Enneagram types.
Please keep all questions coming! Just leave a comment here or ask on my fan page!
Hope you’re having a SUPERB day! I know I am, it’s SUNNY HERE!!!, which means I am loving life.
Today’s question comes from Jason Ayers. He was wondering:
“How do you determine what product you are going to create next and how do you improve your odds that it’s going to be something your prospects and customers are going to buy? I’m currently upgrading my process to include more “co-creation” where I work with the customers to refine the product itself before I make it and while I create it (kind of like “agile programming” in the software world). I’d love to hear how you approach this part of your business.”
I created a video to go into more detail, which you can see here:
The short form of the answers are:
1. Look at forums in the niche to gauge needs
2. Use surveys (on forums or with SurveyMonkey)
3. Bounce it by a partner or a mastermind
4. See how you can add to what’s already selling well
5. Look at your own frustrations with products in the market
Ninja tip: Sell BEFORE you create.
Again, if you have any questions on anything you want me to take a crack at, please leave me a comment here or post on my fan page.
Just made a video blog post on why the retreat I was at last week has forever changed my life.
I did a “Top 10″ style, and I’ll post the main reasons under the video. The video just goes into detail on some of the things.
At the end of the video, I also posted an idea for a fun exercise we did. It was VERY profound and I think you’ll get a lot out of it, so let me know if you do it and I can tell you what it means.
Here’s the video:
…and here are the top 10 reasons:
1. Being in a circle with AMAZING women (This was so nourishing to my soul!)
2. Feeling so much more clear about my purpose (Wow – I walked away with SO much insight that I didn’t have before.)
3. Cleaning up throat chakra (In the form of 3-4 blood curdling screams… talk about liberating!)
4. Breathwork to the ultimate meditative “universal intelligence” state
5. Delicious food created for us
6. Photo shoot with hair + make-up people and the amazing Alexa Miller…
7. Was out in a GORGEOUS canyon in Ojai, California…
8. Out-of-this-world massage work
9. Fire circle (I used to hate those but this was AMAZING!!!)
10. The tarot card exercise that shocked me in its accuracy (see the end of the video for details)
Overall, I am extremely ecstatic about it and am SO HAPPY I did it.
Hope you’re having a SPECTACULAR DAY!!! I sure am!
My internet was down when I made today’s video so I couldn’t answer IM questions (I like to show you what I’m talking about), so I will answer those ASAP. Please keep shooting questions in — I LOVE them and other people are telling me they’re getting a lot of benefit from them!
Today’s video is on 2 things:
1. The virtual assistant service I use – FancyHands – to do all my personal tasks (watch the video for examples if you’d like!) I make no commission off of them, they’re just awesome native English speaking people who make life very stellar.
2. My new self esteem practice, and how Otto made it even better. If you want the mp3 I mention in the video just leave a comment with your receipt or a picture of you with the book or just something and I’ll shoot the mp3 to whatever email you comment with. You can buy the book right here if you don’t have it already.
(I get a few cents if you buy through that link, you can feel free to bypass that if it makes you feel better )
Here’s the video!
…and I hope you have as great of a day as I’m having!!!
Just made a quick update video today. I was feeling a little cranky yesterday + this morning, and then I had some delicious soup and re-set out to create my day and instantly felt better.
(And by the way, Otto and I very rarely disagree – haha – feels like I mentioned disagreements in a few videos!)
The soup recipe is at the bottom of this post.
I’m also enclosing a video on my favorite split testing tool! Someone asked me what I use to split test my sales letters so I wanted to show you why Visual Website Optimizer is my favorite!!! (For all non internet marketers, split testing is still a great tool to figure out how to get the most visually compelling websites possible.)
Update video:
Split testing video:
As always, if you have any questions or want me to talk about anything, let me know!!!
Here’s the soup recipe:
About 1 cup Tomatoes (chopped)
1/4 cup raw almonds (soaked) (optional – skins peeled)
l Young Coconut** – Meat and Water
2 Tablespoons purple/Red Onion (chopped)
1 Clove Garlic (medium) (chopped)
1 Tablespoon Barley or Chickpea Miso
2 Tablespoons Protein Powder (Nutritional Essentials Regular)
1 teaspoon Celtic Sea Salt
Handful of Cilantro (optional parsley, spinach or other greens)
1 whole Avocado (medium)
Optional Veggies
- Red bell pepper, carrot, celery, etc.
Put all ingredients in blender and blend till desired texture about 10 seconds (pulse chop if your blender has this function). The soup is better if it has some texture so try not to blend it into a puree.
Optional – May heat soup up on very low temperature until slighly warm.
If you can’t find coconuts you can use almond milk.
If you like this, you’d probably love all the recipes on Lou’s book (again, I get no commission – just spreading the love )
