A few weeks ago I shared some master lists my assistant made for me that I use to scale designs across all kinds of product campaigns. The lists are very helpful because you can take one design concept, swap out a word or two, and then easily create tons more designs.

For example, you could take a simple text-based design like the one below and replace the words “pit bull” with virtually any other dog breed, such as dachshund or golden retriever. Or, you could take the same design and apply it to cats, fish, bunnies, or any other popular pet type.

Using these lists, I’ve turned one design into literally hundreds with barely any extra effort.

The first set of master lists consisted of occupations, athletics, and countries and nationalities. And the lists have now been updated to include a variety of popular pet breeds — from dogs and cats to horses and fish — perfect for anyone who is currently or plans to be involved with animal niches.

I personally have had a lot of success with dog-related products, especially pit bulls. :)

The master lists are not totally comprehensive, but they are a great starting point for the most popular pet breeds within each category.
