An ode to 2012…

I posted this on Facebook and it got such great response that I thought I’d post it here too.

This time last year, I was in a numb marriage that left both us highly unsatisfied… to a soul-crushing level. But we were good friends, and we didn’t want to hurt one another.

This year, my ex and I are still friends, and now I’m in love with a man that enlivens me, makes me a better person, and makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

This time last year, I was in a business partnership that left me feeling secure, but very creatively blocked and without freedom.

This year, I’m still good friends with my partner, and I’m on my own now… with a team of AMAZING people who leave me feeling so supported, business running better than ever, and floods of messages from people saying I inspire them every day.

This time last year, I was having all kinds of health challenges. I spent about $40k trying to fix them and nothing worked.

This year, I’m seeing the most magnificent doctor in the world. My health issues have all but cleared up.

This time last year, I didn’t know I was going to move several more times in the coming days.

This year, I’m living in an incredible home with incredible people, feeling rooted for the first time in 7 years, while getting my travel fix. :)

This time last year, I didn’t know I was about to have a situation with a good friend that created the lowest night in my life.

This year, we’re better friends than ever, and I’m surrounded by other amazing people that make me feel so loved and supported.

Ya, I’d say 2012 was the best year of my life so far. :) Hard, but oh so worth it. :)
