One of my favorite litmus tests is, “Do I feel like royalty right now?”

If not – what can I do to change that?

This isn’t coming from an arrogant or holier-than-thou space. It’s coming from a commitment to feel my personal best.

The “royalty” angle is a beautiful, tangible way to judge this.

For example, let’s say I feel someone is treating me poorly.

Regular Rachel might just suck it up.

But when I am committing to feeling like ROYALTY, I ask, “Do I feel like royalty right now? Does royalty get treated like this?”

If the answer is no, I change things.

This whole question creates a safe container. A “box” with which to view things.

If I’m viewing things as regular Rachel, it’s so easy to make excuses for people. To get overwhelmed easily. To say, “next time I’ll take care of it”.

The litmus test makes things so much more simple to navigate.

Royalty is either treated a certain way or they’re not.

This doesn’t mean you step on other people to get what you want. I believe in win-wins.

But I mostly believe in win-wins that honor your personal boundaries and radiate who you want to be in the world.
