  2. You can get pretty good quality with even a cheap web cam.
    It’s all about the lighting.

    The window behind you is what’s killing the video.

    Try to get as much light as possible pointing at you from behind the webcam.
    Get a light like this:

    from Wallyworld or the local autoparts store.

    Make sure there are no light sources behind you, place the light somewhere behind the webcam facing you. I think you’ll see a huge improvement in the video quality.
