Like all of the other products you sell through the Low Hanging System, you want to be able to sell your jewelry year-round, not just around specific holidays.
For that reason, it’s best to choose evergreen design ideas as opposed to designs that are holiday-specific, although if you want to have some holiday-specific designs, that’s okay. Just, the bulk of your designs should have year-round potential.
Through LHS, you can sell a few different types of jewelry, including laser engraved necklaces, freeform necklaces, and bracelets. For the purposes of this post, however, we’re going to focus on message card jewelry.
In addition to the necklace itself, message card jewelry comes with a special card with a unique message and design that you create. Message card jewelry gives you plenty of opportunities to come up with something great your customers will love.
But as I always say with LHS, remember simple sells. You don’t need to get overly fancy with your message card jewelry designs. A few simple lines suffice. Offering personalization options is also an awesome idea with this product.
That said, below, you’ll find a list of evergreen design ideas that you can use to create bestselling jewelry on Etsy and Amazon.
Let’s take a look…
Jewelry for specific people
With the message card necklaces, you can make designs aimed at certain people, such as…
- mom
- wife
- daughter
- girlfriend
- sister
- best friend
- soulmate
- grandma
- aunt
- niece
- stepdaughter
- stepmom
- stepsister
- mother-in-law
- sister-in-law
- daughter-in-law
- granddaughter
- cousin
- bride-to-be
- mom-to-be
- godmother
- goddaughter
- roommate
- coworker
- boss
- maid of honor
- bridesmaid
- flower girl
- mother of the bride
- mother of the groom
You can offer customization options by letting shoppers add names, dates, locations, or special messages to the designs.
You can also make the designs more specific by having them be not only for certain people but also from certain people. For example…
- To mom from son
- To mom from daughter / to daughter from mom
- To daughter from mom
- To daughter from dad
- To wife from husband
- To girlfriend from boyfriend
- To girlfriend from girlfriend
- To grandma from granddaughter / to granddaughter from grandma
- To grandma from grandson
- To aunt from niece / to niece from aunt
- Et cetera
These ideas could also be made into “in remembrance of…” designs with customization options.

Jewelry for different professions
Designs aimed at specific professions also work really well — for instance, message card jewelry to a favorite teacher, nurse, doctor, lawyer, accountant, et cetera. You can find a big list of professions to create designs for here.

Jewelry for special occasions
Message card jewelry makes a great gift for special occasions, holidays, and events. And you can incorporate these special occasions into your designs. Here’s a list of occasions for which people might like to give jewelry as a gift:
- Mother’s Day
- Valentine’s Day
- Christmas
- Hanukkah
- New Years
- birthday (you can make designs for specific birthdays as well – e.g. 21st birthday, 40th birthday, etc.)
- anniversary (you can also make designs for specific anniversaries – e.g. 1st anniversary, 25th anniversary, etc.)
- wedding
- bridal shower
- bachelorette
- graduation
- adoption
- to say thank you
- to say congratulations
- to say I’m sorry
- to say good luck or best wishes

Jewelry with a special message
When given as a gift, jewelry often holds sentimental meaning for both the giver and the recipient. So creating designs with special messages, which can be heart-filled, sweet, silly, or funny, is a way to appeal to a wide audience of shoppers.
Here are some examples I found on Amazon:
The best titles and tags for your bestselling jewelry on Etsy and Amazon
To create bestselling jewelry on Etsy and Amazon, you need to optimize your listings. And by that I mean you need to include keywords in your listings titles, descriptions, and tags so your listings can have great SEO.
As you come up with keywords for your listings, you need to think like a shopper. If you were browsing Etsy or Amazon, what keywords would you put into the search bar to find a particular item or gift idea?
To help with this process, you can type keyword phrases into the search bars on Etsy and Amazon and see what comes up. These keyword phrases are based on what’s trending so they can be good to include in your listings’ titles, descriptions, and tags.
For example, if you type the phrase “message card” into Etsy, this is what you see:
You want to place your most relevant keywords at the beginning of your titles and then also include them in your listings’ descriptions.
With Amazon, you can also include keywords in your products’ key features. And with Etsy, you get to add 13 tags to each of your listings and it’s highly recommended that you fill all 13 slots.
Another way that you can find relevant keywords for your bestselling jewelry on Etsy and Amazon is to use a free tool like Keywordtool.io.
Keyword Tool actually has an autocomplete specifically for Amazon although it doesn’t have one for Etsy. But you can still find great keywords using any of the autocompletes for your Etsy product listings.
Amazing ROIs when you sell jewelry
When you sell jewelry in your shops, you see great returns on your investment. You can charge more for jewelry than you would a lot of other products, and the base cost of message card jewelry is really low — just $4.95 to $6.95, giving you a lot of flexibility for big profits.
On Etsy, you typically see message card jewelry listed between $25 and $65. On Amazon, the pricing high end is a little lower at around $45. The recommended selling price of GearBubble’s message card jewelry is either $39.95 or $49.95, which gives you a profit margin between $35 and $45.
With profit margins like that, you can really boost your revenue the more jewelry you sell. And since jewelry makes a great gift, with the holidays fast approaching, now is a fantastic time to add more jewelry to your shops’ inventory.
To help increase your jewelry sales, I had my team of designers create mockups for certain types of necklaces and bracelets a while back. You can find those mockups here. Add them to your Etsy and Amazon product listings to make them stand out more. Or include them with your social media content to make it more engaging.
