  1. Jason – You can come visit me! :)

Mike – Hey!! I was just thinking about you, actually!

Thank you very much re: yayFOOD. I freaking love the team that made it for me. :)

That’s awesome about SoCal!!! I agree, it’s such an incredible area.

And we definitely do need to catch up. Let Lexie know I’ll help her however I can, she has my email/phone number. :)

What have you been up to?

  2. I really need to be quicker about comments. :)

Glen: Have I mentioned how much I adore you? haha… thank you very much.

I definitely don’t think I’m impacting the lives of thousands of people (yet)… but it makes me INSANELY happy to get a cancellation request become someone met their goal… or to read the posts at the forum and see that people have lose weight. I freaking adore it. :)

As far as idea to creation… I originally had a crappy looking site for yayFOOD. It was a long sales letter, and I did everything inside. Being that I’m ridiculously not awesome tech stuff, it looked pretty bad. But it was out there, and I got members.

It didn’t take too long… I’d been studying membership sites for a while, so I took all the ideas that I had (which by the way, I made a report about a while ago… you’re welcome to have it if you ever make a membership site), planned out my short term and long term goals, and just made it within a week. :)

The Woman’s World was random… an editor just randomly saw my sales letter, vibed with it, asked for some before and after pictures, and invited me to be on the cover.

Since the site was made… I’ve obviously put more time into it… hired a team to make it what it is now (it’s still getting more features, and it’s been a few months now)… outsourced article writing… wrote tons of articles myself… made squidoo lenses, hubs, emailed people for JV opportunities, etc. etc…. but it’s been very worth it.

And wow, that was a really long response… I guess I’ll hit “Submit” and answer the other comments in a different “section” :)

  3. Hey Rach…

Lexie and I were just thinking about your magazine cover and ran into your site… I must say, I LOVE the yayFoods site – very professional.

I am glad to hear things are going well for you. Also, great news on moving to LA. We will be out there in a few years time as well, as I miss SoCal a lot.

Anyway, congrats to you. I wish you the best!

    Mike and Lexie Lantz

PS: We need to chat sometime – Lexie is working on a new project that includes nutrition and I think could benefit chatting with you about it.

  4. Rach,
I’m sure the you in the ‘before’ photo was unfairly discriminated against, particularly at school. Yet you overcame that and share your experience and process of calorie cylcing with other people. Not only that you monetize the process as well. It’s very impressive what you have done. Did you think that you would be impacting the lives of thousands if not millions of people in a positive way?

How long did it take you to go from the idea phase to the reality? Once you took the decision to do the website and e-book, how long did it take you to bring it all together? Oops I’m almost doing a mini-interview. I know youre super busy so i had better go. Have fun with your move to L.A.!

  5. haha.. I think they’re onto the December 4 edition now. I never bought extra copies, but I’m going to contact the local magazine distributor and see if I can get some. If you didn’t get one, let me know, I’ll send you one. :)

    P.S. I’m moving to L.A. Mr Henderson!!!

  6. :) Any place that sells magazines… it’s actually really not a big deal at all, thought it was going to be a bit bigger… BUT there’s still a trillion positives from it, so I’m not complaining. :)

  7. I am reminded of the late, former heavyweight champion of the world, Joe Louis. God rest his soul.

When sports writer Jimmy Cannon was once asked– “Is Joe Louis a credit to his race?”

    Cannon replied: “Yes…..the human race.”

    Ditto.

Rachel is a credit and inspiration to the human race as well…on many levels.

It’s easy to start out life with the perfect body and a shiny silver spoon handed down from generation to generation….

But it’s a hell of a lot tougher to look in the mirror and see your strength and weakness..and do something about the latter.

Rachel has done that. And her life should be a wake up call for many. And it inspires. She inspires. That’s her gift, I guess.

This chick “aint” no victim. She aint your Daddy’s guru either.

She didn’t sit on her ass and feel sorry for herself either. She walks the walk and backs it up..every day. That’s the real deal, peeps.

And she’s the real fu@#ing deal…. forgive my language….but I keep it real.

For those of you looking for a modern day “muse” to inspire your asses to greater hights—you found her. This blog is named for her.

Kudos, and major props to you, girl.
