No matter how clear and upfront you are about your order deadlines, you’ll always have customers who wait until the last minute to do their holiday shopping.
Of course, you still want to try and accommodate these people as much as possible. But this year, especially, given the ongoing pandemic, expecting last-minute orders to arrive in time for the holidays isn’t necessarily realistic.
I came up with a solution to this issue, however — one that’s helped a lot of LHS sellers accommodate last-minute shoppers and save sales made after ordering deadlines.
Basically, you give customers printable cards that include an image of the item(s) they ordered that say “Your present is on its way!” This way customers aren’t left empty-handed, and you get to save the sale.
I’ve shared this type of post a few years in a row, and these cards really work. Here’s some feedback we’ve gotten about the cards in the past:
These cards may be more useful than ever this year, considering the Covid-related manufacturing and shipping delays that occurred earlier in the year.
So I asked my fabulous designers to create a fresh batch of Coronavirus-inspired gift card images for you to give to customers during the 2020 holiday season.
Here’s a preview:

When you’re not sure if an order will make it on time, just add an image of the item(s) to the gift card and send it to your customers. Let them know they can print or email the gift card image and give it to the intended recipient so they aren’t left empty-handed.
I hope these gift card images help keep your sales high and your cancellations and refunds low with last-minute shoppers!
And for more non-Covid-related gift card images, you can check out the posts I’ve made in the past below:
