About Page – Old

As you can see by the header, I’m Rachel Rofe. (Ro-fay! Not Roof, Roaf, Roofie, or whatever else you can think of. :)).

I’m currently living in Scottsdale, Arizona, but who knows where I’ll be in the next few months. In the past few years I’ve lived in San Diego, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. I’ve done several cross-country road trips and have been to 49 out of the 50 states (last one is Hawaii!).

I absolutely LOVE to travel. I love everything about it. I always squeak and get giddy when I press “Buy” on a plane ticket, and then I love everything about going to new places. I love seeing new things, meeting new people, learning different things, and talking to people completely different than I am. It is by far one of my favorite things in life.

I also love to push myself out of my comfort zone and learn and grow myself. I’m forever reading, doing new lifestyle change trials, taking new classes, or doing something that seems completely random.

I can’t ever learn enough and am always asking a million questions.

I’m able to travel so much and fund my crazy lifestyle with internet marketing. Because all I need is a computer to work, I can work from anywhere in the world. Heck, half the time I don’t work at all, since I have virtual assistants helping take care of customer emails, order fulfillment, and stuff like that.

I might come up with an ebook or something to explain step by step how I do that, but in the meantime, feel free to head to my Recommended Products page. That goes over the main essentials of how I run my business.

Throughout my internet marketing career, I’ve tried all sorts of things. I’ve done affiliate marketing (where you sell products for other people and get a commission), copywriting (where you write promotional material for other people in order to help them sell their product), membership sites (where people pay you a monthly fee for some kind of service), site flipping (where you create sites and then sell them for a higher profit), and marketed my own information products that people paid for. Sometimes I also get exposure to other people’s sites for them.

Internet marketing has been pretty lucrative, but I seem to go back and forth on it a lot. I don’t like being at the computer a lot, and I crave human interaction. Also, probably half of my income comes from products I have in the “make-money” niche. While I believe in those products and know they work, I still can’t help but feeling a little dirty sometimes with that kind of stuff, you know? I guess it’s the stigma attached to it.

I’ve been talking for YEARS about working on my blog full time, but for some reason, I haven’t done it. I don’t know why – I guess I thought it’d be hard to make money with a blog. It’s easy to ignore a dream like that when you know you can make an easy high 5 to low 6 figures in a month or two creating an information product.

That being said, I’ve decided to start blogging more, until the point when I can consider it my full time income. While I plan on making money out of it, I’m not doing it BECAUSE of that. I’m doing it because people constantly tell me how much I inspire them, and I know I have so much more to offer to the world than what I feel like I’m doing now. I know I can show people what’s possible in life by sharing my stories. I want everyone to know what an awesome world we live in. I want to be able to communicate with people. I want to teach what I’ve learned. I crave communication, I crave interaction, and I crave more friendship. My soul ACHES to inspire and help people more, and I’m finally doing it.

My ultimate plan is to live a 100% authentic, fun, happy life where I’m only doing what I LOVE and having other people do all the rest.

Thanks for being a part of my journey. :)
